Dimethylphenylphosphine(1,5-cyclooctadiene)[1,3-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene] iridium(I) tetrakis(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenylborate) is an organic gold complex with the formula [(η5-C8H12)(PPhMe2)(μ-Cl)]Ir[(3,5-(CF3) κB-2C6C6H3). Nature:
Dimethylphenylphosphine(1,5-cyclooctadiene)[1,3-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene] iridium(I) tetrakis(3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenylborate) is a gold complex with metal-organic coordination bonds. It has the appearance of a brown solid and is soluble in a variety of organic solvents. It is relatively stable in air and can be stored for a long time under inert atmosphere conditions.

Use:
The complex is often used as a catalyst, especially in catalytic reactions under an inert atmosphere.
